I got these 2 of my headdress series done.
My postcard & business card will have these illos on them...pictures to come.

I have been working on this birth announcement the last few weeks.
For some reason, it's been hard for me to wrap up.
Maybe I need to put it away for a week or two and do something different.
Does that ever happen to you?
It's set. My hotel is booked, my flight is booked and I have the time off from work (hooray!).
I will be going to the Illustration Conference, ICON 6, in LA come mid-July.
I am super excited, but also have some nerves about going.
BUT I am getting over that and trying to just get excited about meeting other illustrators and learning new and important things about the industry.
Anyone else out there in illustration land going to it too? I would love to hear from you! And anyone in LA, are there places I should look into seeing??
I hope this is a step in the right direction for me!

I designed this new print, Lions, Tigers, Bears, with a little girl in mind.
I wanted it to be feminine, slightly tomboy w/ a twinge of hostility but with a feel of majestic royalty.
A girl can swing from vines, but land rightfully so on her throne. ;)
Unclip.com went live April 5th. I checked it that day.

I'm working at my desk this weekend, which is a good thing, because this dreary rain looks pretty harsh to be outside right now. It's pretty big project, but really cool to work on these fun little illos. More to come!

After a week of grueling Holiday 2010 1st Proto-type meetings, I was ready to party it up last weekend. But lo-and-behold, lucky me, I got food poisoning on Friday which pretty much debilitated me for the next 5 days. I finally feel like myself again. :)
