Car Free Earth Day is an annual NYC DOT event in April that encourages exploration of the 5 boroughs through biking, walking and subway transportation without the use of cars. The NYC DOT and I worked together to create 9 different maps to help pedestrians and bikers navigate streets as well as provide time estimates for walking and biking to popular plazas, parks and nearby landmarks. I created a visually cohesive set of maps by creating a design system with shared infographics as well as implementing a typographic hierarchy for the street names, plazas, main pedestrian corridors, and bike path labels.
